Dear Parsęta, I wish you to be clean, deep and happy
23.08.2007 07:24:00
This is only one from 201 children wishes written on a coloured paper, which was hanged on the lines stretched over banks of Parsęta, by the bridge between Ząbrowo and Pustary. The action of writing wishes for the river was a part of the second edition of cleaning the banks of Parsęta. It was prepared by Agreement for Parsęta (Porozumienie dla Parsęty), and precisely by its two signatories the company TROTON from Ząbrowo and Gaja Club from Bielsko Biała. The banks of Parsęta were cleaned by the inhabitants from nearby villages, children and teenagers attending nearby schools and the employees of the company TROTON with their families
From 10am to 1pm the whole trailer of rubbish was collected: „It’s less than last Year” – noticed Jan Wołejszo, the President of TROTON – “ last year we probably cleaned the rubbish that covered these areas for years. Jacek Bożek, the leader of Gaja Club, the guru of Polish ecologists, supported during the action by Beata Tarnawa, was glad to see that crowds of children and local people came on Parsęta. Not only children, but also their parents and grandparents wrote wishes for the river.-Look at this card - said Jacek Bożek, really touched. One of the children wrote only two words, but what words!- he pointed to a colourful heart with a short message “Forgive us!”. Over 201 colourful cards were hanged over the river. We know the exact number as we had that many buckles which we used for hanging the cards – laughs Beata Tarnawa. I asked Parsęta to let me catch a big fish – boasted 12-year-old Konrad Spychalski from Wartkowo. His card was hanged next to another massage which sounded: “I wish you to have lots of carps”
For everybody who devoted Saturday morning to their river, there waited barbecue delicacies, music, beer and quad rides.
