Hardener: 1
Thinner: 0÷5%

Spraying viscosity

15÷17 seconds at 20ºC.

Pot life

Approx. 5 hours at 20ºC.

Number of Layers

2-3 full coats, 40÷50 µm of dry film.
Parameters for RP gun
Nozzle: 1.3÷1.4 mm; Pressure: 2,0÷2,2 bar.
Parameters for HVLP gun
Nozzle: 1.3÷1.4 mm; Pressure inside the nozzle: 2,0 bar.

Flash off time

Between layers: about 5 minutes
Before baking: about 10 minutes

Curing time

At 20ºC
Dust free: after about 35 minutes.
Ready for polishing: after drying overnight.

At 60°C object temperature
Clear coat is ready to polishing after baking for about 30 minutes and cooling down (about 2 hours).

Temperatures below 20ºC significantly increase the drying time.

IR Drying

15÷20 minutes of short waves, depending on the layer thickness and the type of radiator.
Do not exceed 60oC.
Use as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
Wait about 10 minutes before starting the heater drying.

Product efficiency

1 liter of mixture is enough to cover approx. 10÷12 m2 with a dry layer of 50 μm of thickness.

Shading

Make sure you have covered the whole area with the base coat and do the shading only on a previously prepared area. Use FADE OUT THINNER to blend the dust that has settled around the repaired surface and to eliminate optical gloss differences between the old lacquer and the newly applied acrylic clear coat.

Polishing and eliminating defects

Usually polishing is unnecessary, as the DIAMENT Clear Coat gives the surface a perfect look immediately after use. However, if some dirt inclusions appear, it is recommended to remove them wet, using sanding paper with gradation of 1500-2000 and then polish the surface with polishing compound.
The easiest way of polishing 2K surfaces is to do it within 24 hours after the coat has cooled down.

General notes

- Do not exceed recommended doses of hardener!
- Using such clear coats one shall remember of spraying first the edges and cavities and
leaving front surfaces for the last stage of application process.
- Thus we can avoid superfluous dust creation and achieve smooth surface.
- Best results of application are achieved when using a professional chamber-oven, or when
varnishing in a room specially suited for this goal, at least at room temperature, i.e. at 20°C.
- Temperature in body shop and temperature of a product should be the same.
- When working with 2K products, clean the guns and equipment immediately after use.
- The rooms should be well ventilated.

Caution: To maintain safety, always follow the instructions given in the MSDS for the products.
