Description

Synthetic resin based product designed to protect car body from harmful effects of weather and gasoline, oil and water and salt. It forms a strong, flexible layer resistant to stone impact. It also has soundproofing properties. It can be coated with any paint systems.

Substrates

The product has good adhesion to surfaces of various types.

It can be applied on:

  • polyester laminates
  • polyester putties
  • epoxy primers
  • two-component acrylic primers
  • surfaces made of steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel
  • aluminium surfaces
  • reactive primers plastics

Application process

Substrate and surface preparation

The product has good adhesion to surfaces of various types. It can be applied on:
- polyester laminates
- polyester putties
- epoxy primers
- two-component acrylic primers
- surfaces made of steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel
- aluminium surfaces
- reactive primers
- plastics
Polyester laminates should be degreased beforehand, dry sanded (P80-P120) and degreased again.
Polyester putties should be previously dry sanded (P120)
Primers should be degreased beforehand, dry sanded (P80 - P120) and degreased again.
Steel surface should be degreased beforehand, dry sanded (P80 - P120) and degreased again.
Stainless steel surface should be degreased beforehand.
Aluminum and galvanized surface should be degreased beforehand, matted with abrasive fleece and degreased again.
Old coatings should be degreased beforehand, dry sanded (P220-P280) and degreased again.
Plastics should be pre-washed with water and detergent, matted with abrasive fleece and degreased. In the case of plastic, it is advisable, before starting varnishing work, to anneal the component at 50°C, which will facilitate the removal of silicone compounds from its surface.

Application

The best temperature for aerosol application is 15 ÷ 25°C.
- The surfaces must be dry, cleaned of dirt and grease.
- Before application, shake the can for about 2 minutes and try the spray on a cardboard box.
- When painting, hold the spray at a distance of 25÷30 cm from the painted surface.
- Apply 2 or 3 single coats at intervals of no more than 5÷10 minutes. Shake the aerosol again before applying each layer.
- It is recommended to set the aerosol with the valve down and press the button releasing the content for about 5 seconds - this will improve the re-application of the product and preserve its existing properties, as well as protect the nozzle from possible clogging.
When applying the body protectant directly to steel, it is recommended to apply a top coat of varnish or enamel.

Drying time at 20°C*:
- dust dry: after approx. 30 minutes
- touch dry: after approx. 60 minutes
- ready to cover: after approx. 2 hours
