Description

Bicomponent acrylic filler with high solids content. Characterised by very filling properties, very high adhesion, good stability and good levelling on vertical surfaces. Very easy to apply.

Advantages

  • Easy to mix and apply.
  • Short hardening time.
  • Good isolating and filling properties.

Substrates

Acrylic fillers  can be applied over:

  • Bare steel and aluminum after matting and degreasing.
  • Sanded glass fibre (GFK/GRP).
  • Polyester
  • Wash primers.
  • acrylic fillers.
  • Epoxy fillers.
  • Old finishes in good condition after flatting and degreasing.

Well prepared surface is necessary for achieving best results. Following sandpaper gradations are recommended:

  • by hand (dry or wet): P280÷P320 (GRP P400),
  • by machine (dry): P180÷P220.

Application process

Use

For car repairs as a filling or grounding filler.

Mixing ratio by volume

Filler: 4 parts
Hardener: 1 part
Thinner: 15÷20%

Stir thoroughly until achieving homogenous mixture

Spraying viscosity

30÷50 seconds at 20°C

Pot life

approx. 60 min. at20°C

Number of layers

2-3layers of 150÷300µm thickness
RP gun parameters:
Nozzle: 1,6÷2,0 mm, Pressure: 2,0÷2,2 bar
HVLP gun parameters:
Nozzle: 1,5÷1,9 mm; Pressure: 2,0 bar

Evaporation time

Between the layers: approx. 5÷10 minutes
Before baking: approx. 10 minutes

Evaporation time depends on the temperature and the number of layers.

Hardening time

Approx. 3-4 hours at 20°C
Approx. 30 min. at 60°C

Temperature below 20°C significantly increases the hardening time.

IR drying

10÷15 minutes of short waves for the thickness of 150÷250 µm.
Do not exceed 60°C.
Use as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
Wait about 10 minutes before starting the heater drying.

Dry sanding

By machine P320÷P500.
By hand P320÷P500.

Wet sanding

By machine P600÷P1000.
By hand P800÷P1000.
