Refinish application defects
No adhesion between a base coat and primer
Base coat flakes from the primer in parts or from the whole surface
Cause
- Lack of recommended thickness of materials (thin, thick)
- Use fine-grained sand paper during primer sanding
- Low quality materials
- Material not dry enough
Countermeasure
- Follow recommendations from Technical Data Sheets (TDS)
- Use appropriate materials
- Use appropriate gradations of sand papers
Removal
- Sand, isolate and varnish again
