Damp patches

Cause

  • Incorrect viscosity of the material
  • Uneven spread of the varnish
  • Too a short time of applying the material between layers
  • Damaged varnish gun
  • Wrong temperature of the material and the paint booth during varnishing

Countermeasure

  • Keep the temperature during repair recommended by a manufacturer
  • The material should be prepared according to the Technical Data Sheet (TDS)
  • Clean the equipment after every use and check whether it is not worn out

Removal

  • Sand damp patches with fine-grained sanding paper (1500, 2000 or 2500) and polish
  • Sand it and varnish again
