Intergum

Description

Quick-drying bitumen and wax-based agent designed to permanently protect undercarriage against corrosion. When dry, it leaves a firmly adhering film, giving good mechanical protection in varying climatic conditions. It is characterized by excellent sound dampening properties. It is not subject to painting with any paint systems.

Substrates

It has very good adhesion to all kinds of metals as well as lacquered surfaces, old paint coatings, wood and plastics.

Do not use on Teflon.

Application process

  • Application – by brush

    – The surface to be covered must be clean, dry, dust-free, degreased and cleaned of rust.
    – Shake the package before use.
    – Intergum can be applied with a brush or spatula.
    – If a thicker coat is recommended, it is advisable to dry the applied coat before applying the next coat.

    DO NOT USE ON TEFLON

    Note: for safety purposes, always follow the data on the Material Safety Data Sheet for the product.

    Dry to the touch*: 90 – 120 minutes at 500 µm wet film.
    Completely dry*: 10 – 12 hours at 500 µm wet film
    Removal method: fresh coating – solvent, cured coating – mechanical.

    * at ±20°C and 65% relative humidity.

  • Application – on the gun

    – The surface to be covered must be clean, dry, dust-free, degreased and cleaned of rust.
    – Shake the package before use.
    – Intergum agent can be applied with an air gun at a pressure of 3 – 6 bar.
    – The optimal spray distance is about 30 cm.
    – If a thicker layer is recommended, it is recommended to dry the coating before applying the next layer.
    – Clean contaminated surfaces and fixtures with solvent.

    Dry to the touch*: 120 -180 minutes at 600 μm wet film.
    Completely dry*: 4 – 6 hours at 600 μm wet film
    Removal method: fresh coating – solvent, cured coating – mechanical.
    * at 20°C and 65% relative humidity.

  • Application – spray

    – The surface should be degreased, dry, cleaned of old varnish and rust and then smoothed with sandpaper.
    – The best temperature for applying the spray is 15 – 25°C.
    – Before application, shake the can for about 2 minutes and try the spray on a cardboard box.
    – Apply several coats holding the aerosol at a distance of 25÷30 cm from the painted surface.
    – After finishing the application, it is recommended to set the aerosol with the valve down and press the button releasing the contents for about 5 seconds – this will improve the re-use of the product and preserve its existing properties, as well as protect the nozzle from possible clogging.

    Drying time*: Approximately 60 minutes (at room temperature).

    *Drying time depends on temperature, humidity and coating thickness.
